Reverend Elder
Isaac Hoyt Chappell

Isaac Hoyt Chappell was born on January 21, 1964, to the Late Reverend Dave and Lois Jessie Chappell. After attending grades K-12 at the Jefferson Area Schools, Elder Chappell was employed as a security officer.
In 1989, Elder Chappell married the “Love of his Life” Janice Marie Harris-Chappell. They are the parents of James Lawrence, Lois Jessica, Jasmine Renea, and Jewel Aunastasia Moriah.
In 1990, Elder Chappell acknowledged his call to the ministry and was instructed by his pastor, Superintendent James Harris, to “wait on your ministry”. In 1996, as a minister, he preached his trial sermon at Jefferson Community Church of God in Christ. In 2007, then Minister Chappell, went through the ordination process and was ordained as an Elder and was appointed Assistant Pastor in 2010.
In August of 2005, Elder and Missionary Chappell founded and developed The Eagle Eye Family Development Center, now known as Eagle Eye Family Development Services which serves the Ashtabula County residents through counseling, life skills, case management, drug and alcohol treatment recovery, and many faith-based services as well. Many lives have been changed by the Lord through these various services.
Elder Chappell also worked for the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Department as a Corrections Officer/Shift Supervisor for twenty-one years until his early retirement due to physical disability.
Elder Chappell also served in the church/community in various capacities which include:

- Destiny Outreach Ministries – served as Co-Director
- Henderson Memorial Library (Jefferson, Ohio)
- Sunday School Superintendent/Men’s Class Instructor
- Successful Grant Writer for Church Roofing and Parking lot projects
- Church Treasurer
- Praise and Worship Leader
- Prayer Leader and Bible Study Instructor
